Ondo: 40 politicians jostle for governorship ticket


Reports reaching  SOAL reveals that at least 30 chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are warming up for the primary election in Ondo state.
The Nation reports that 10 chieftains of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are struggling for the party’s ticket in the governorship election which is expected to hold in November.
The PDP aspirants are the attorney general and commissioner for justice, Eyitayo Jegede, his environment counterpart, Sola Ebiseni, former presidential adviser on Niger Delta Kingsley Kuku, Bakitta Bello and Saka Lawal.
Others are Rotimi Jegede, Nekan Olateru-Olagbegi, Bamiduro Dada and Gbenga Elegbeleye.
The APC aspirants include a senior advocate of Nigeria, Rotimi Akeredolu; Segun Abraham; Ajayi Boroffice; Jamiu Ekungba; Jumoke Anifowose; Awodeyi Akinseyinwa Apata; Sule Akinsuyi; Olakunle Osunyikanmi; Odunayo Akinrinsola; Foluso Adefemi and Bukola Adetula.
Others are Bode Ayorinde, Olubunmi Agbaminoja, Segun Ojo, Sola Iji, Victor Olabimtan, former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Tayo Alasoadura, Adegbonmire, Light Ariyomo, Paul Akinterinwa, Ayo Akinyelure, Olusola Oke, Ife Abegunde, Akinyinka Akinnola and a foremost rights activist, Tunji Abayomi.
