So hilarious!! Lord's prayer in pidgin translated version

Some people think speaking pidgin English is local , but if you’ve ever heard a Warri man speak pidgin you’ll think twice. Why do you think they say  ‘Warri no dey carry last?’
Dr Joe Abah asked Nigerians to translate ‘ The Lord’ s Prayer ’ into Pidgin and stand the chance of winning a prize .
Now for those who don’ t know The Lord’s Prayer or have forgotten it, here it is :
Our Father in heaven , hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come .
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven .
Give us this day our daily bread , and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation , but deliver us from evil.
Nigerians came through with the translations!

Speed up weight loss, boost immunity with these 20 smart foods, drinks

So-called zero-calorie foods, like celery and cucumbers, contain fewer calories than the body uses to break them down. And although nutritionists account for the energy it takes to chew and digest them when they calculate how many calories we need, these eats deserve prime spots on our plates.
You can eat them in large quantities without busting your gut, and low-calorie doesn't mean low nutrients. "And, obviously, if eating very low calorie foods keeps you from eating higher calorie foods, that's a win," says Monica Reinagel, licensed nutritionist and creator of the Nutrition Diva podcast. So fill up your fridge with the following 20 foods that are loaded with vitamins and minerals -- not calories.
If you're tired of fending off hunger by guzzling glass after glass of H {-2}O, snack on cucumber slices instead. "Eating foods that are high in water can help you feel full at least temporarily by taking up a lot of space in your stomach," Reinagel says. Cucumbers also pack vitamins K and C, potassium and a compound called silica, which helps to build and maintain connective tissue, like muscle, tendons, ligaments and bone.
Citrus fruit
Don't wait until cold season to fill up on oranges, tangerines and grapefruit -- they may help whittle your middle. People with higher vitamin C levels have lower waist-to-hip ratios than those whose bodies contain less of the antioxidant, according to a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition . What's more, University of Arizona researchers found that those with higher levels of vitamin C oxidized 25 percent more fat during treadmill sessions than those with lower levels of the vitamin.
Celery delivers serious crunch for next to no calories -- each medium stalk has about 6 -- but it's not shy on nutrients. One cup has a third of your recommended daily intake of vitamin K, along with vitamin A, fiber, folate and potassium. Celery also contains compounds called phthalides, which can relax muscle tissue in artery walls and increase blood flow, thereby helping to lower blood pressure.
An apple a day keeps your weight at bay! Just make sure to eat the skin. The peel contains most of the fruit's metabolism-boosting fiber, as well as ursolic acid, a compound that may prevent the pounds from piling on, according to a new study from University of Iowa.
Don't be squeamish about eating your sea vegetables. Kelp is loaded with vitamin K, which helps keep bones strong, along with a natural fiber called alginate, which may help block fat absorption, according to research from Newcastle University in the U.K. For only 6 calories per 4-ounce serving, try mixing Sea Tangle Kelp Noodles into salads, soups and stir-fries.
A half-cup of cooked asparagus will set you back only 20 calories. Plus, you'll get hefty doses of vitamins K and A, and B vitamins such as folic acid. Since B vitamins play a role in breaking down sugars and starches, eating asparagus may help regulate blood sugar and fend off type 2 diabetes.
Brimming with beta-carotene, apricots can help fight cancer and heart disease as well as protect your eyesight. Eating three or more daily servings of fruit rich in vitamins A, C and E and carotenoids like beta-carotene may lower your risk of macular degeneration, the dominant cause of age-related vision loss. When participants in a study published in the Archives of Ophthalmology ate this much fruit they were 36 percent less likely to suffer from the disease compared to those who consumed 1.5 servings or less of fruit daily.
This summertime fruit is loaded with arginine, an amino acid that may aid weight loss. Researchers found that obese mice that were fed arginine supplements burned more fat and gained more lean muscle than those that did not receive them, according to a Journal of Nutrition study.
The lycopene in tomatoes can protect against prostate cancer and help keep skin looking young by eliminating free radicals that build up when you are exposed to ultraviolet rays. Tip: Cooking tomatoes spikes levels of lycopene and makes it easier for your body to absorb the nutrients, according to a Cornell University study.
Broccoli may be the nation's most-scorned veggie, but it doesn't deserve that reputation. One cup raw contains as much fiber and vitamin C as an orange.
Counting your carbs? Try boiling, mashing and seasoning cauliflower to get a mashed potato substitute that tastes almost like the real thing. A half-cup of boiled cauliflower contains only 14 calories, but nearly half your daily recommended intake of vitamin C.
One cup of the summertime staple packs more than 100 percent of our daily recommended intake of vitamin C. Strawberries are also one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits you can eat. Compounds called polyphenols may protect your body from the type of cell and tissue damage that is linked to heart disease and certain cancers.
Leafy greens
Whatever variety you pick, you can't go wrong with piling a plate with salad greens. At 4 calories per cup, watercress is loaded with vitamins A, C and K, and a study in
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition
found that eating 3 ounces of the peppery green daily increases levels of the cancer-fighting antioxidants lutein and beta-carotene. Spinach (7 calories per cup) is brimming with vitamin K, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and selenium, and contains a hormone that allows muscle tissue to repair itself faster, according to research from Rutgers University.
Red chile peppers
Add a little spice to your cooking and slim down while you're at it. Capsaicin, the compound that gives a red chile pepper its kick, has been shown to help your body burn more calories. Plus, research shows that we tend to eat smaller portions of spicy foods because of the heat.
Whether you saute them or eat them raw, mushrooms are an often-overlooked superfood. Dutch researchers found that when you digest mushrooms, your body produces cancer-fighting, immunity-boosting metabolites.
Red bell pepper
Any way you slice it, red bell peppers are a great source of nutrients. A medium-size one delivers 250 percent of your daily recommended intake of vitamin C, 75 percent of your daily vitamin A needs and 10 percent of your fiber goals. Chop them up and pair with hummus for a healthy snack.
Summer squash
Whether you love zucchini, butternut or acorn, all squashes are chock-full of vitamins and belly-filling fiber. But summer squash has one advantage: You can eat more of it without gaining weight. In fact, you can have two times more summer squash than winter squash for the same number of calories.
The turnip sometimes takes a backseat to more popular root vegetables, like carrots and potatoes, but its nutritional benefits shouldn't be overlooked. The root contains cancer-fighting glucosinolates and is a good source of fiber, calcium and potassium.
Green tea
Whether you prefer it hot or iced, unsweetened green tea is calorie-free and high in an antioxidant called ECGC, which may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers while revving up your metabolism. Participants in a Tufts University study who drank the equivalent of three cups of green tea each day lost twice as much weight as those who did not drink the tea. Green tea drinkers also lost significantly more belly fat than non-tea drinkers.
The importance of water can't be overstated. Staying hydrated keeps your metabolism humming, and can keep you alert and energized throughout the day. Drinking two glasses before a meal can also help you keep control over your portions.

The Best Treatment for Aches, Pain and Fever

When you're sick, all you want is to feel better. It may take a while for your body to fight off what ails you, but relief from your aches and fever can come sooner.
You can treat many common symptoms of colds, the flu, and sinus infections with over-the-counter medications and some simple self-care.
Acetaminophen. Drugs with this ingredient affect the areas of your brain that control body temperature and pain. These medications can fight fevers and chills, ease headaches, and soothe sore throats and body aches.
Check with your doctor before taking acetaminophen if you have severe kidney or liver disease, or if you drink three or more alcoholic beverages a day.
Many multi-symptom cold medicines contain acetaminophen. Check the labels of any products you're taking to make sure you're not overdosing.
NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). This group of meds includes aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. Each is different, but they all reduce fevers and pain. NSAIDs may work better than acetaminophen at lowering a fever. They may do a better job of relieving sinus pain, too, since they reduce swelling.
Check with your doctor before you use NSAIDs if you have a history of stomach problems, heart, liver, or kidney disease, or if you're taking a blood thinner.
Don't give aspirin to a child under the age of 19. It can cause a serious illness called Reye's syndrome.
Never take more than one type of NSAID. Since ibuprofen and acetaminophen control pain differently, you may be able to use both on the same day -- but check with your doctor first. You don't want to take more medication than you need.
Other important things to know about OTC pain relievers.
They can make other medicines less effective. So talk with your doctor first if you're taking a prescription medicine or a daily dose of aspirin to prevent a heart attack.
Taking more than the recommended dose won't make medicine work faster. It could be dangerous.

Take Care of Yourself;
Stay cool. Place a damp washcloth on your forehead, arms, or legs. Or take a slightly warm (not hot) bath. Both things can help bring down your fever.
Don't overheat. If you get the chills, remove extra clothing and blankets. Bundling up causes your body's temperature to rise, making chills worse.

Eat healthy foods
Sugary snacks and drinks may slow down your recovery. Nutritious choices help fuel your body's defenses.

When to See Your Doctor;
A cold usually goes away on its own. But call your doctor's office if you have a fever over 101 F, vomiting, pain in your face or head, a severe sore throat, or a cough that won't go away.

10 Ways to feel better now

You wake up with a sore throat. Then come the coughing, sneezing, and sniffling. There’s no denying it -- you’re sick. Sadly, there’s no cure for the common cold or the flu. But you can find relief faster with these smart moves.

"Take it easy"
When you’re sick, your body works hard to fight off that infection. It needs more energy than usual. Make rest your top priority. Stay home from work or school, and put your daily routine on hold until you feel better.

"Go to bed"
Curling up on the couch helps, but don’t stay up late watching TV. Skimping on sleep makes your immune system weak, making it harder to fight germs. Head to bed early, and take naps during the day. Are your symptoms keeping you up at night? Try using an extra pillow to raise your head. It can ease sinus pressure and help you breathe easier.

"Drink up"
Getting plenty of fluids thins your mucus and breaks up congestion. It also prevents the headaches and fatigue that dehydration causes. Keep a glass or reusable bottle on hand, and refill it with water. Skip caffeinated sodas, coffee, and alcohol, which can dry you out.

"Gargle with saltwater" It’s a good way to soothe a throbbing throat. The saltwater eases swelling and loosens mucus. Stir one-quarter to one-half teaspoon of salt into a cup of warm water until it’s dissolved, and gargle a few times a day.

"Sip a hot beverage"
It’s comforting to curl up with a mug of tea. Plus, research shows that the heat can also ease cold symptoms such as sore throat and fatigue. Try sipping non-caffeinated herbal tea, lemon water, or warm broth.

"Have a spoonful of honey"
This sticky stuff can coat your throat and soothe a cough. In one study, kids who ate about half a tablespoon of honey at bedtime slept more soundly and coughed less than those who got a placebo medicine. Stir it into a cup of decaf tea or lemon water.

"One warning: Don’t give honey to babies younger than 1 year old.

"Take a hot shower" Breathing in steam may moisten a scratchy throat and nose, as well as loosen your congestion. Although the research is mixed on whether this remedy works, there’s no harm in trying it. The heat can also help relax any aching muscles.

"Take an over-the-counter remedy"
You may find relief with one of these medications. Take them as directed, and don’t give them to children under age 6 without your pediatrician’s OK.
Pain reliever for fever and aches. Doctors usually recommend acetaminophen. If you’re taking another cold medicine, though, check that it doesn’t already have the drug. It’s a common ingredient in many OTC remedies, but getting too much can be dangerous. So check the label, and don’t go over the limit of 3,000 milligrams per day.
Lozenges for a sore throat. They have herbs and other ingredients that can soothe the stinging.

"Decongestant for stuffiness"
This medicine shrinks blood vessels in your nose so your airways can open up. But the liquid or pill form may make you feel jittery. Using decongestant sprays and drops too much can cause more congestion, so don’t use them for more than 3 days.

"Expectorant to thin mucus"
It can help loosen some of that thick discharge.
Antihistamine to dry up a runny nose. This drug blocks the chemical in your body that causes sneezes and sniffling.

"Use a saline spray or flush"
Over-the-counter saltwater sprays make your nostrils moist, which makes it easier to blow your nose. You may also want to try nasal irrigation. That’s when you gently pour a saline solution into one nostril and let it flow out of the other. It washes away dried mucus so you can breathe easier. You can buy sinus rinses or use a bulb syringe or neti pot. If you do it yourself, always make the saltwater solution with distilled or cooled, boiled water.

"Eat chicken soup"
This sick-day staple really can make you feel better. Research shows that chicken soup can calm inflammation in your body. This may ease some of your symptoms, such as aches and stuffiness. What’s more, this meal also has liquid and calories to give your body energy.

“Evans Is A Very Intelligent Criminal With A Very Sound IQ” – ACP, Abba Kyari Says, As He Narrates How He Arrested Evans

The Assistant commissioner of police and head of the Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari has disclosed that he rode on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as okada, to enable him move faster to Notorious Kidnapper, Evans’ Magodo GRA Phase II residence on the day of his arrest.

Although, he had earlier been informed by his men already deployed in the area, that Evans was making frantic preparations to leave his mansion very soon.

He went further to explain that though it might sound funny, policemen sometimes must do “unconventional things” to get at their targets or what they actually wanted.

The top cop added that he and his team had been on Evans’ trail for close to 10 years until the kidnap kingpin met his waterloo on the day of arrest.
He said:

“In the early hours of Sunday at about 1.30am, Evans and some of his gang members went out to a club around Ikeja and returned at 5.10am. So, we were very sure Sunday would be our day. So, I decided to go and cleanup myself and have a little rest before I returned to Magodo.
I was still resting when my guys called that the target was set; that it appeared he wanted to go out. So, I had to take Okada from where I was, to meet up.
“You won’t believe this, but it’s the truth. Do you know that when my surveillance team alerted me of the suspect’s presence at his Magodo mansion, I had no other option than to take Okada from where I was at Ikeja GRA to Magodo?

“I was approaching former tollgate, when I got another call that he might drive out any moment. So, I instructed my guys to give him warning shots; that was to announce our presence, and that kept him indoors until I got there and directed the affairs,”

“We have been following him, through intelligence gathering and surveillance, but we have always lost him. He is a very intelligent criminal with a very sound IQ, I must tell you,”

“When we tracked him to Lagos, I was in Abuja. The moment I was sure he was in Lagos, we moved down to Lagos on Monday of that week. We came by road and slept at a police station close to Evans’ residence and started our surveillance on him”

Must Read: Most Wanted Billionaire Kidnap Kingpin, Onwuamadike… The Mastermind Of Attempted Kidnap Of Young Shall Grow Boss, Chief Obianodo

Most wanted kidnapper, Chukwudi Dumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, who was arrested in Lagos was behind the kidnap attempt on prominent transporter and owner of Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo.

Evans, a native of Umudim, in Nnewi, Anambra State was arrested at his Magodo residence on Saturday, June 10 by the Joint Forces led by the Intelligence Response Team, the Lagos State Police Command’s Anti-kidnapping Unit and Technical and Intelligent Unit of the Nigerian Force.
In August 27, 2013, Chief Obianodo was attacked by some gunmen in Festac Town. The attack left four persons dead including two of the gunmen, a police officer and Obianodo’s driver while the billionaire sustained bullet wounds. Read the report by LIB here
Barely two years later, in 2015, Nigeria Police arrested some suspects linked to the attack. During interrogation at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, the three suspects (pictured)made startling revelations about the billionaire kingpin, Evans, who is regarded as the most notorious kidnapping expert in the country.
According to this March 28, 2015 crime report by The Vanguard,Vanguard ,the suspects disclosed that the attack on Chief Obianodo which many speculated to be an assassination attempt, was actually an attempted kidnap foiled by his police guards.
“They had expected the policemen guarding the chief to run for cover when they accosted them and opened fire on his convoy. But surprisingly, a policeman guarding the Chief put up a fight and engaged the kidnappers in a shoot-out, killing two at the spot while one other died before they fled,” police sources explained.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced immediately after the attack. Policemen at the Area E, Command, Festac, under whose jurisdiction the incident occurred made little progress in unearthing the true motive behind the attack. Thereafter, the case was hurriedly transferred to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FEDSARS, Adeniji Adele, Lagos, amid allegations of interference and cover-ups.
Crime Guard gathered that reasonable progress was made at the FEDARS in taking out the gang behind the kidnapping but they also went ahead to coordinate more other high profile kidnappings in Lagos and other parts of the country where they got hundreds of millions as ransom. It was learnt that the gang was headed by one Evans, a notorious kidnapper terrorizing Anambra State but who relocated to Ghana when Anambra, his home state became too hot for him to operate in.
Government and the Police in Anambra State were said to have launched a manhunt for him and one of his colleagues, known as Hutch –Man, when their activities became highly unbearable. Their buildings were destroyed and their relatives were ostracised in the society. While in Ghana, Evans and Hutch-Man formed a new gang in Lagos with three others. Their modus was to enter into the country quietly, carry out some kidnappings and disappear into thin air. Chief Obianodo’s attack was one of their operations but unfortunately, Hutch-Man and two others met their doom in that operation, while Evans escaped.
Sources at the Lagos State Police Command disclosed to Crime Guard that Evans, after the death of Hutch-Man, succeeded in forming a new but highly sophisticated gang, which has successfully coordinated several high profile kidnappings in Lagos and other parts of the country, collecting ransoms in hundreds of millions of naira. Most of his victims are said to be prominent citizens and business executives based in Lagos. They are usually threatened not to report the case to the police upon their release. That was why most of the cases were not reported to the police for fear of reprisal by Evans and his deadly gang.
Police sources described Evans as the most notorious kidnapper operating in Lagos at the moment, stating that he has over 20 boys working for him in Lagos alone. The source added that Evans could easily pick out his targets as he is very rich with properties in choice areas in Lagos. “He displays lots of wealth. He has properties in Lekki and Ajah and he drives expensive cars around town making it possible for him to blend easily with the rich in the society. When he picks out a victim, he sends a team to monitor the movement of that victim.
When he thinks it’s ripe for him to strike, he would deploy another team to attack and kidnap his victim. After carrying out their operation, they usually blindfold their victims after which they are taken to unknown destinations within the state where they are detained and ransoms are demanded before their release. After their freedom, the victims are warned never to alert the police or members of their families would be attacked.
At the moment, no one knows Evans whereabouts because he has plenty of cash and can easily move in and out of the country,” police sources hinted.
The suspects identified as Victor Anamalechi, Nnamdi John and Chukwuma Kingsley are currently helping the operatives in their investigation. One of them,Chukwuma Kingsley,34, a native of Isele-Ukwu in Delta State, who was arrested recently, in connection with the kidnap of two oil moguls in Lagos state, Chief Idowu Coker, the Director of Dapsey Oil, who paid N20 million ransom and Alhaji Fashola Hammed, who was rescued from the kidnappers den without ‘paying ransom, confessed to Crime Guard how he became a criminal.
According to him “I ventured into crime in 2012 after I lost my job at the company where I worked as a security man. I am married with four children. I travelled to Indonesia with the little money I saved from my salary. When I got there, I fell ill and I returned back to the country. Things became very difficult for me and my family. While I was searching for help, I met one Ike, who was an old friend and I asked for assistance. He told me that he was into car vandalism and I could join him if I had the gut. For the fact that I could barely fend for my wife and four children, I decided to join him. We did a couple of jobs together.
Later, some of his friends who specialised in petrol station burglary invited me to join them. I followed them to raid a number of fillings stations on high ways and we stole a lot of money. When we attack a filling station at night, we will break into it, ransack the place and collect all the money and valuables we could lay our hands on. After a while, some filling stations started engaging the services of armed security men and this made our job difficult. Ike, Alhaji and Victor, who are the leaders of the gang provided the arms we used while Nnamdi John, brought two Ak 47 rifles and some police uniforms to us.
‘’We would disguise as policemen on duty and when we get to a filling station with armed guard, we will arrest the security, tire him up and rob the place. The money we were making from that operation became too small for us. Victor then suggested that we should start robbing ATM and fast food joints. Our first ATM and fast food robbery was in Ogun State . We realised N400,000 from the operation.
The second operation was at a bank in Okene in Kogi State, but while we were trying to open the vault of the ATM, our burner got spoilt and we stopped working and returned back to Lagos. Before we attack any bank, a member of our gang will survey the place to make sure that there are no armed policemen on guard at the bank. If the place is clear, we will strike.
Our most lucrative operation then was in a bank in Ogun state where we found over N 15 million from the ATM vault and later we robbed a filling station and collected N3.5million, which was their sales for the weekend. I bought a car with my share of the loot, but days after that operation, we had a problem. We attempted to rob an ATM in Ogun State, but there were lots of vigilante men around the area, then we decided to abort the operation and returned to Lagos.
‘’We drove in through Abeokuta Road and when we got to Ibah on LASU-Igando Road, some policemen accosted us and we ran in different directions for safety but I abandoned my car. After that incident, we disbanded the group for fear of being arrested. Ike travelled out of the country, Victor who had a shop in Alaba International Market went back to his business, while I became a taxi driver.
Nnamdi lives in Ikotun and also has a shop at Alaba International Market. We were still hanging out regularly. We normally meet in hotels and local bars. A day after the owner of Young Shall Grow Motors was attacked, I tried reaching Nnamdi through his cell phone but his line was not connecting. I didn’t know that he took part in that operation but I was only calling him so that we would hang out. I tried for four days, his line didn’t connect but on the fifth day, he called and asked that we should meet in one of the hotels around our area.
When we met, he told me that he was lucky to be alive. I asked him what happened. He told me that he was part of the gang that attacked the owner of Young Shall Grow Motors. I was surprised because we were not into kidnapping and he also didn’t discourse such plan with me. He then explained that one of his friends called Sudo, who is based in Ghana, linked him to the gang and they wanted to use his AK 47 rifles for the operation.
He said he met the gang which includes; Hutch-Man, Evans, Acko and one other he did not know his name in Igando and they planned how to carry out the attack. He later explained that Evans didn’t tell him that there would be an exchange of gunfire and he was not prepared. He said they accosted the man with their black Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, and they shot at the vehicle carrying the man but some policemen following him shot back at them and killed Hutch-Man and Acko at the spot.
According to him, they also shot at their SUV as they made to escape and the bullet hit the unidentified man in their vehicle. He told me that he drove the vehicle and the body of the dead man to the hotel where they planned the operation in Igando and left the dead body for Evans to take care of.
There and then, I advised him to be careful while dealing with Evans because Evans is a dangerous criminal. We once lived in the same building 14 years ago and he was a notorious drug baron. At a time, we forced our landlord to evict him from our building because we were scared he could get us into trouble. After that discussion, he told me that he was going to leave the country to avoid being arrested by the police. But few months later, I learnt he was arrested for truck diversion and was taken to prison.
‘’I was still doing my taxi job and making little money from it. Then, suddenly, I received a call from Evans. I was surprised he had my phone number and he asked if I had a car, I told him I didn’t and he asked if I could get someone I trusted who could do a job for him, I said yes. Ike was in the country then and he was driving a Toyota Sienna space bus. I took him to Evans and we met at Festac Town.
He told us to trail a car for him and he would pay us N3 million. We agreed and he said we should wait for his call. Two weeks later, he called and said we should drive down to Trade Fair Complex, wait under the bridge and look out for a car. He gave us the registration number and colour of the car. He also gave our numbers to somebody who would call and tell us when our target will leave his shop.”
Ike got angry because that wasn’t the agreement. He told me that Evans collected N15million as ransom. Ike started calling him and he stopped picking his calls and changed his number. Ike went back to Ghana and I went back to my business. One month later, Ike called me and said he has concluded plans to form his own kidnap gang. He said he has found someone who has contacts of rich people we could kidnap within Alimoshun area.
We met at Igando and he told me that he has also rented an apartment which we will use as our den. Our first victim was Dabsy. I did the surveillance while Ike and two other boys carried out the operation. The man was kept in our den and we demanded a ransom of N30million. He paid N20milliom. We collected the ransom at Governors Road, Ikotun and I got N3million as my share.
I bought a Toyota Camry with my share and used the remaining to take care of myself. Few weeks later, the guy who gave us the information of our first victim brought another job. The victim this time is called Alhaji Fashola. I waited for him at Isheri roundabout and when I sighted him, I contacted Ike and doubled crossed him in traffic and broke his wind screen with the butt of my gun and abducted him. We took him to our den but days later, SARS operatives stormed the house, rescued him and arrested me. Ike managed to escape,” he narrated.
The third suspect,Nnamdi John, 35,a native of Abia State in his confessions said he got his two Ak47 rifles from his friend who was killed in Kano State during a robbery operation. “I came to Lagos in 2006 from Okene, Kogi State. I was brought in by a man who was selling used television sets in Okene. I came to Lagos with N90,000 and I was selling used phones at Alaba International market. After a while, I ventured into musical instruments with the money I made from selling used phones.
I rented a shop and things were moving fine for me. In 2011, I met one guy known as Okute at a drinking spot in Ojo and he was spending so much money. We became friends and he gave me his car to keep for him. He would call me some time to bring the car when ever he needed it and when he is through with the car, he will return it to me and dash me N50,000. I didn’t know what he was doing with the car until one day when the car had a flat tire and I went to fix it. He saw me and was very upset. I was surprised why he was so upset with me over a minor issue.
Then he told me that he has guns inside the car and nobody must know about it. One month after that incident, he called and said that he wanted to travel to Kano State. That was the last time I heard from him. Later, news came in that members of his gang went for an operation in Kano and he was gunned down. One of his friends who knew that the guns were in the car contacted me and said I could make money with the guns.
He brought a job at Alakija where we got N90 million. My share from that operation was N59 million. I built a house and bought a Sports Utility Vehicle with part of the money. I then invested the remaining into my business and travelled to Japan and started importing musical instruments. People were surprised by my sudden wealth but they didn’t know how I made it. The first set of importations I did went well but the last one didn’t go well.
There were lots of debts so,I stopped importing. Later on, my business folded up and I went back into robbery. I joined Kingsley and his gang and we raided banks, filling Stations and ATM. Subsequently, I met Evans and we attempted to kidnap the owner of Young Shall Grow Motors. That operation was so bloody and I decided never to venture into kidnapping.

7 Rules Of The Dating Game

It is a well considered opinion that the best approach to dating is to see it as a game.  All games have rules. From the traditional to the professional games of all shades and colours, rules are at the base of its enjoyment.  The dating game is not left out.  In fact, knowing the dating rules and playing by it is a sine quo non for success in dating. These dating rules are applicable throughout the season of dating and beyond and would be helpful in sustaining the courtship and marriage relationships that could flow from a dating relationship. It applies to younger people who are dating for the purpose of socialization as well as the older people who are dating for the purpose of marriage.  These rules also apply to relationships unrelated to dating, courtship and marriage.  Learned and applied on other facets of life would give one the advantage in situations where dealing with other people are involved.

Rule 1: Independence and Sense of Self-worth
Your primary concern in any relationship – regardless of what kind of relationship it is – is to be yourself. This means that you need to know what you want from life and the relationship. You need to love and respect yourself.  You need to know that you are an individual with potential for the best in life and not be prepared to settle for less. You might ask yourself these questions before you take up the dating bull by its horns – Who do I think that I am? What do I want from this relationship?  Where are my moral boundaries? How much do I love myself? It would be a great idea to measure your self-esteem and self-confidence levels and ascertain that you are absolutely sure that you could not be confused by veiled seductive signals from the opposite sex.

Rule 2: Be prepared to create and have fun
The base purpose of all games is to create and have fun. There is no reason the dating game should be otherwise. When we try to make other people happy, we are happy ourselves. So, this a rule you can derive its dual benefits with one act. The law of reciprocity or of giving comes to play here. If you give, you receive, most times double and ten times over. The next time, therefore, you have a date coming, remember this rule and get prepared in your mind on those things you can do to create fun for your partner so that you can also have fun. The success of any dating effort is rated by how much fun both partners had. If you deliberately plan and do make your date feel happy while you were out together, the better you feel yourself.  It must be stated here, though, that the fun spoken about here is not fornication – sexual intercourse.

Rule 3: Effective Communication
Effective communication is the bedrock of all relationships whether or not connected to affairs of the heart. Nowhere is more critical than it is in the affairs of the heart. In fact, during dating and courtship period of every relationship is the time to learn and apply this rule so that one would be wise in it.  In effective communication, you are not only just required to communicate well; you are required to help your partner to understand you. This could be a thorny challenge in life. Without effective communication, it would be difficult to find friendship, trust, respect, love, understanding, etc where requisite building blocks of the foundation for joyful relationships are based. Effective communication is required to build love and intimacy in that relationship. This is a critical rule. The Achilles’ heel to this rule is premarital sex. One of the ways to learn and apply this rule is to ask a lot of questions through the meeting.

Rule 4: Be Prepared To Discuss Differences
It is not all the time that your ability to communicate or obey rules would give you a smooth ride in a dating relationship. There are times that communications breakdown even between two people who may have thought that all is going well with their relationship. During those stormy seasons in a growing relationship, the ability to calmly discuss the differences is very helpful. Sometimes it is the only security for the relationship to continue. To be able to works through these rough waters of relationship, both partners should be able and willing to put all the cards on the table and discuss their differences with respect for each others boundaries and individuality.

Rule 5: Nurture Your Relationship
Every dating relationship and indeed all relationships, be they business, social, intimate and even the ultimate, marriage, need to be nurtured to keep going.
Constant appreciation, value, consideration, reciprocity and thoughtfulness all help in showing each partner that he/she is cherished and valued and gives them a feeling that they have a place in your life. It must be stated though that these does not include sexual favors. In fact, premarital sex would harm the relationship badly.

Rule 6: Avoid Premarital Sex
There many reasons why you should avoid premarital sex. If that does not appeal to you, it would be wise to note that it is a breaking of the rule of the game of dating to have sexual intercourse during dating. The only sexual intercourse is acceptable in human relationships is in lawful and legal wedlock. Premarital sex would take away the opportunity to build friendship and trust which are critical for the future development of the relationship to courtship and marriage. Premarital sex scuttles the ability of couples to learn and apply effective communication.

Rule 7: Ask the most important questions on the first date
This is critical especially if you are dating for the purpose of marriage.  Some people believe it would have been better if the critical questions like family finance, how many children, extended family, demographics, sex, religion, should be asked after the dating relationship has advanced far and may into courtship. On the contrary, it best to trash the thorny issues first. If for example you are dating for marriage, is there any reason to waste several months with a man or woman whose financial plan, religion, demographics, number of children, sex and extended family ideas are at variance with yours. You can trash these issues on the first date and that would help you know whether you should see the person again.

Stay Informed! 28 Causes of cancer

After some bombshell news from the World Health Organisation that bacon, ham and sausages are carcinogenic , you can be forgiven for wondering just what exactly is safe for you to come into contact with – let alone eat.
Handily, the International Agency for Research on Cancer – a body that collects and publishes cancer figures worldwide – has a list of the 116 substances and activities (for some of them are more verb than noun) that are now considered to cause cancer.
Red meat isn’t on the list – that only probably causes cancer. This is the IARC’s group 1 list – the stuff it says definitely is carcinogenic. The IARC splits the list into three categories, which it calls “exposure circumstances”, “mixtures” and “agents”.
Carcinogenic exposure circumstances
1 Tobacco smoking: The most common exposure to the stimulant, prepared from the leaves of the tobacco plant, is through burning it and smoking it from a cigarette or hookah pipe into the mouth and then releasing it. Smoking’s history dates back to as early as 5000–3000BC when the agricultural product began to be cultivated in South America.
2 Sunlamps and sunbeds: A tanning bed, a device that emits ultraviolet radiation for a cosmetic tan, can give humans overexposure to UV radiation, which can cause skin cancer, cataracts, and premature skin ageing.
3 Aluminium production: Increased lung and bladder cancer risks have been reported in workers in aluminium reduction plants. The fumes of chemicals the workers may inhale, and exposure to coal-tar pitch volatiles for long periods during the process, can cause cancer.
4 Arsenic in drinking water: The highly toxic chemical which is used to make certain alloys used in the manufacturing industry, can get into the drinking water supply, particularly in ground water. Arsenic is known to cause skin cancer, and linked to causing liver, lung, kidney, and bladder cancer.
5 Auramine production: Auramine can be used as an antiseptic agent as well as to make dyes. A study found there to be an excess of bladder tumours among men engaged in the manufacture of auramine, through inhaling harmful agents, such as formaldehyde and sulphur, during the manufacturing process.
6 Boot and shoe manufacture and repair:
Linked to increased risk of nasal cancer and leukaemia, due to exposure to suspected carcinogens such as leather dust, benzene and other solvents, yet the risk of cancer in shoe manufacturing may vary depending on the duration and level of exposure.
7 Chimney sweeping: Cleaning chimneys of soot and dust, historically done by small boys who could climb the chimney but now done mechanically, could cause a very specific form of cancer – termed “chimney sweep” cancer. It could be caused by inhalation and accidental ingestion of coal and burnt wood fumes and residue.
8 Coal gasification: Studies of the cancer levels of workers who had occupational exposure to coal gasification – when coal is reacted with oxygen, steam and carbon dioxide to form a gas – showed there to be an excess of lung cancer.
9 Coal tar distillation: Derived from coal, coal-tar pitch is a thick black liquid that remains after the distillation of coal tar. It is used as a base for coatings and paint, in roofing and paving, and as a binder in asphalt products. Both coal tar and coal-tar pitch contain many chemical compounds, including carcinogens such as benzene. Human exposure to coal tars can be through inhalation, ingestion, and absorption through the skin. The general population can be exposed to coal tars in environmental contaminants.
10 Coke (fuel) production: Workers at coking plants and coal-tar production plants – where coal is refined to be used as a solid fuel – may be exposed to coke oven emissions, and have an excess risk of dying from lung cancer and kidney cancer .
11 Furniture and cabinet making: Furniture makers are shown to have a statistical increase in nasal cancer risk , with excessive exposure to wood dust, according to studies.
12 Haematite mining (underground) with exposure to radon:Mining hematite, an underground source of iron, workers are simultaneously exposed to radon – a radioactive carcinogen, which can cause a
large increase in the risk of lung cancer.
13 Secondhand smoke:
Otherwise known as passive smoking, a non-smoker’s risk of getting lung cancer can increase by a quarter by breathing in other people’s smoke. It may also increase the risk of cancers of the larynx (voice box) and pharynx (upper throat). It’s estimated that every year, secondhand smoke kills over 12,000 people in the UK from lung cancer, heart disease, stroke and the lung condition chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
14 Iron and steel founding: Studies of iron and steel founding workers in various parts of the world showed them to have a significantly increased risk for lung cancer . Exposures in the iron and steel founding industry are complex and include a wide variety of known genotoxic and carcinogenic substances including metals and formaldehyde.
15 Isopropanol manufacture (strong-acid process): People in the isopropanol manufacturing industry may face an increased risk of developing cancer due to exposure to suspected carcinogens , such as diisopropyl sulphate, isopropyl oils and sulphuric acid. The colourless, flammable chemical compound with a strong odour has a wide variety of industrial, household and pharmaceutical uses. Isopropyl alcohol solution is found in rubbing alcohol, hand sanitiser, and disinfecting pads.
16 Magenta dye manufacturing: The production of magenta dyes – purplish-red in colour and among the first synthetic dyes to be produced in the 1850s – has chemicals linked to bladder cancer. Yet some carcinogenic chemicals were banned from hair dyes in the 1970s.
17 Occupational exposure as a painter: Studies have found a link between work as a painter and risk of cancer . Deaths such as bladder cancer and leukaemia in such cases could have been from an exposure to benzene – a chemical at high levels that can cause cancer and found in paint production – mixed with other organic solvents. Cases of lung cancer may be from exposure to particles containing lead chromate and to asbestos in the paint trade.
18 Paving and roofing with coal-tar pitch:
Paving with coal tar and coal-tar pitch may contain many chemical compounds, including carcinogens such as benzene .
19 Rubber industry: Harvested mainly in the form of the latex from certain trees, the manufacturing process of stretchy material can
cause the risk of developing cancer , caused by chemicals. Studies examining countries with workers in the rubber industry showed they were more likely to have cancers such as bladder cancer, lung cancer, and leukaemia.
20 Occupational exposure of strong inorganic acid mists containing sulphuric acid: The liquid aerosols formed by condensation of sulphuric acid vapour, which is highly corrosive, can
cause a higher risk of getting lung cancer .
Carcinogenic mixtures
21 Naturally occurring mixtures of aflatoxins:
Such toxins produced by certain species of fungi, are among the most carcinogenic substances known, and linked to increased risk of liver cancer.
22 Alcoholic beverages: Alcoholic beverage consumption is a cause of breast, colorectal, larynx, liver, oesophagus, oral cavity and pharynx cancers, and as a probable cause of pancreatic cancer, as classified by the IARC .
23 Areca nut: Areca nut is a mild stimulant, akin to coffee, that is chewed with betel leaf. It is known to cause increased risk of mouth and oesophageal cancer.
24 Betel quid without tobacco: A leaf indigenous to Asia, is chewed with areca nut as a stimulant and can increase the risk of oral cancer.
25 Betel quid with tobacco: Betel can increase the risk of oral cancer.
26 Coal-tar pitches: This thick black liquid contains many chemical compounds, including carcinogens such as benzene.
27 Coal tars: Coal tar, a bi-product of coke production, contains many chemical compounds, including benzene.
28 Processed meat:
Meat that is cured or treated in some way, either for preservation or taste. Examples include ham, bacon and sausages. It was ranked as dangerous as tobacco in October 2015 by the World
Health Organisation (WHO), with specific links to bowel cancer.

Locked Behind the FRIENDZONE Wall!πŸ˜‘

BOY: Hey!
GIRL: Hey! What's up?
BOY: So I've been thinking...
GIRL: About?
BOY: We've been friends for a while now and I think you're really cool
BOY: And I was wondering if we could go out on an actual date instead of all those other times we hang out as friends?
GIRL: Why are you telling me this?
BOY: Because I like you and I have feelings for you. Why? Did I say something wrong?
GIRL: No... This is why I don't have any guy friends
GIRL: Most of them just end up liking me and I have to tell them I only see them as friends…
GIRL: And I'm sorry but you're a really nice guy, you know how to love and care, you possess all the qualities every girl needs in a man but me I just love hanging out with you and talking to you just as a friend.
BOY: I see…
GIRL: I'm sorry if I have hurt you. I hope we can continue to be friends though
BOY: Yeah, yeah of course
GIRL: Are you sure?
BOY: Yeah, I'm sure
GIRL: Great I'm glad you understand
BOY: I do well I'll try okay?
GIRL: Yeah just too  me up if at all you wanna hang out for fun.
*A couple of weeks later, she texts him.*
GIRL: Hey!
BOY: Hey
GIRL: I miss you! Feels like we haven't talked in forever
BOY: Yeah I've been busy
GIRL: Oh well wanna hang out soon?
BOY: I'll let you know when I'm free
GIRL: Okay sounds good
BOY: Okay
*She begins to sense something was off about him. They stopped talking after that day and didn't talk for another couple of weeks. She decides to hit him up again.*
GIRL: Hey, can you talk?
BOY: Yeah, what's up?
GIRL: I'm going through a very hard time right now.
BOY: What's wrong?
GIRL: So, I met this guy a few weeks ago and we started talking and whatever and we planned to hang out and we did and one thing led to another and we did "things" and everything was all good at first but he's been acting different since we started doing things.
GIRL: Like he didn't text me as much anymore and he doesn't seem excited to talk to me or see me anymore... what do you think that means?
BOY: Are you being serious right now?
GIRL: What?
BOY: He just wanted to get some ass out of you and he did and now he's done with you because he got what he wanted and now he's probably begun to talk to another girl and probably f*cking another girl as well and forgot you existed. So what's not to get?
GIRL: Why are you talking to me like this?
BOY: Because I am mad at you. I am mad that this happened to you. I am mad because I would never have done this to you. You took me for granted…
GIRL: I don't know what's wrong with me... I always fall for these kind of guys... I feel so horrible
BOY: Honestly, I'ma be straight up with you. You're always wondering where all of the nice guys are. Guess where? In the friend-zone where you always put them. Yes, that's including me. I stopped talking to you because I'm trying to get over you. I know you've been talking to another guy; I see the posts and pictures online from you. Do you know how much that hurt me seeing that? I can't talk to you and pretend like I'm okay because I'm not. I would have never just used you for sex. I like you for you. I can see myself with you. I actually care about you. But for some reason, you're too blind to see when someone actually genuinely is into you instead of just wanting to get into you. And you always let them which honestly make you so moronic.
He didn't get a reply from her after that message. He figured maybe that made her feel awkward, feel bad, or feel angry. Either way, he knows she's thinking about it.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Some girls don't realize a good guy when he's right in front of her and decides he's not the guy for her. Then, karma hits them back when the guy they thought was nice, turned out to be an asshole. If you have got a guy who cares about you, who’s into you, who puts in all the effort to make you happy, who keeps your life going on, don’t keep him in the friend-zone if he openly told you that he loves you. Try to open up to him too
